Of course you must seek a doctor but you want some helpful advice. I do not believe that your cold-like symptoms (chronic cough and sore throat) are interrelated to hair loss. I think hair loss can be a result of parasites, hair follicle disorder, chemical/radiation, nutritional, or hormonal. You can attempt to assess this yourself. There are many reasons hair loss can occur in women. I know that hypothyroidism and certain drugs can cause hair loss. There are probably other reasons too. Go to a doctor who may be able to stop your hair loss. When I was thirty, I had alot of hair fall out. After the dermatologist did laboratory tests, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

I have a lingering cough too. It started out as bronchitis in July, now i just have coughing fits. I'm too damn lazy to go to the doctor. They'll just give me antibiotics and send me on my merry way. So I got a Z-pack from my nurse friend. hopefully i'll be better soon.

See a doctor, he may refer you to a dermatologist,
Alopecia (hair loss), can also be caused by stress factors. If it is parasitic you need to see your doctor immediately. It can also be related to your sore throat.

Sounds like radiation sickness or some type of poison. Barium I believe is the type of poison that causes hair loss.
