That's quite a broad category there. Mint is an herb, so is dill, thyme, rosemary. None of which seem to have any medicinal purposes. Did you have a particular herb in mind?

If your child (or yourself) is taking medication for ADHD, I would stay away from herb's because a lot of them are know to have bad interactions with medications. I would at the very least consult your doctor if you intend to do this. Having raised two children with ADHD, I do not believe any herbs are on the market that have any value in helping with ADHD.

I can't believe some of the answers you are getting. Yes, there are herbs for adhd some are: gotu kola, chamomile and ginkgo biloba. I believe it is alot better than subjecting the child to drugs like they are over prescribing these days. You can also focus on the diet: cut out food coloring, additives and preservatives, try to go organic and give the child an outlet after school.
Good luck! Talk to your health food store or the link below.

If your child is not on prescription drugs, there are some herbal things that they can take. If you go to your local Herbal Store they will be able to point you in the right direction. When my son was younger, we tried a formula called Calm Child. Although he was borderline adhd it seemed to help with concentration at school.

Personally I don't think that ADHD exists. I think that it was invented by bad parents who simply couldn't control their kids,so they decided to drug them up.
