I'm moving out so i go to this office management and they run a credit check on me and background check so the lady there kept asking me if i lived elsewhere im like no just at this one address my parents house so she like you got any prior evictions im like no soshe gave me a copy of my credit report, and this was on it wat does it mean?, ( "ALERT AND VALIDATIONS" ADDRESS DISCREPANCY THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE ADDRESS ON INQUIRY AND THE ADDRESSE(ES) ON FILE.

Ugh those warning are such BS. What it means is when they entered your information on the credit bureau's site to do the report, the credit bureau doesn't have a record of you living at that address so it sees a discrepency. The way the credit bureau gets your addresses in their system is when you say...apply for a credit card or mortgage and you put an address on your application... I run those reports all day and they are loaded with errors...Also as someone else said, if you are living at your parents house and have never applied for a credit at that address then the credit bureau would have no record of you living there! The person who is running the reports at the apartment must not realize the way the credit bureaus system works.

Also, something I saw on my report was...My father years ago, when I was in college, got me a credit card from his account in my name. We don't live at the same address, but the credit report lists one of my previous addresses as his house, even though I never lived there.

of course there would be a discrepancy your parents own the home and it is in their name for as long as they own it, I do not know why the rental agent couldn't figure that out herself
