Thats messed up. Any break up should be in person or at least on the phone. It doesnt matter what you say in your text message, she will probably never talk to you again, if thats how you choose to break up with her. If she does talk to you again after that text message break up, i'd be shocked.

Don't be a wimp. Do it in person, be honest, and take your hits like a man. If she was good enough to date (and whatever else you might've done), she deserves to be let go in person and with dignity.
