Fate is what people call an act they do not want to be responsible for. You live, you die.....that is fate. Everything in between is life.

Destiny, an inevitable course of events

Although all of us at one time or another use the word fate, which has included me. As in "fate is the hunter". However I don't believe in fate, or destiny, because I believe that we all have opportunities which can alter fate and change that which might appear as destiny or fate. But having just written this, I do believe that there is one destiny that every human on earth must face soon or later, (later hopefully for us all) and that is death.

So....I guess I need to qualify my answer with this exception, that I do believe that we all will face death..so this is destiny/fate.

You made me think. Thanks. I like that.

Hmmm, interesting question.

I don't actually know whether or not I believe in fate! I don't think the world is that pre-determined I guess.

I think we have a lot of choices we can make and change the way things will turn out. I believe we have free will.

On the other hand, I do have a sense that some things were "meant to be." Hmmm......now you've just confused me.

Fate is predeterminism. In other words, the notion that in a universe governed by linear laws and finite matter, there can only ever be one outcome for any given interaction or system of interactions. It is a fact of nature.

Humanity, however, abstracts that underlying truth away from itself, and this is a positive thing. Without knowledge of the discrete mechanics of matter and the reactions that occur within us, we are able as complex systems to "decide", which in turn enables conceptual engineering and free thought.

Fate means it is destiny, meant to happen...i do believe in fate, but i also believe that we have to take responsability for our lives as well.

I love to escape my fate now and again. I hate men! So each time I go against fate and blow one anyway, we all win!

I believe in predestination...the idea that all events are ordained by God. I base this belief primarily on the ninth chapter of the book of Romans in the Bible.
