No, you're not the only one who thinks that. I think it's a bad idea to get tattoos. When a person gets older and it starts to droop, no one will be able to tell what the tattoo is supposed to be. To me, it's self mutilation when you get a tattoo.

There quite isn't any method to persuade them- you are sixteen years ancient and are living below their roof. I'm 17, I understand it sucks. Most tattoo parlors would possibly not even permit a sixteen 12 months ancient stroll into the store. Any GOOD location would possibly not tattoo you. And who is aware of, you would hate the proposal while you are 18+. So, I recognize this is not what you wish to listen to, however take it from an additional teenage lady who is death for a few frame mods herself- simply wait it out. That's the exceptional you'll do quite, except you wanna get a task, transfer out and aid your self. But legally you are not able to do this . PS- I suppose shoulder blade is exceptional.. Hip dermis would sag with age for this reason making the tattoo gross watching.

No, you are not the only one. I'm sure many other people agree with you. However, I am not one of those people. I can see and respect where you're coming from, and why you would think that about tattoos, but, just to let you see the other side of this equation, I've seen those T.V. shows about tattoo artists giving people tattoos. The thing is, more than half of the people on these shows that come in to get a tattoo are doing it for "good" things, such as in memory of a lost loved one, or a tribute to those fighting diseases such as breast cancer (tattoos of ribbons, etc.) I have an inkling that not many people would want to get rid of those types of tattoos. You may see it as mutilation, but others find relief in this ARTWORK.

Well first off calling them ridiculous is only an opinion, and thank God about that. First off, God did give us a body you're right, but people get piercings, fake boobs, having surgery such as having a tumor removed(if it is God's will then you should just have the tumor and die right, but of course you would disagree) dye their hair, cut their hair, get their nails done, and lots of boys have circumcisions at birth. These are all differnet types of body modifications, so unless you have done NOT ONE SINGLE ONE OF THESE you have no right to say anything or criticize.
Secondly yes it is permanent, but the one thing about tattoos is the fact that its not like wearing a cross, or having a wedding band something tangible, its more than that. It's a part of you, its something that can NEVER be robbed of you or stolen from you. It's a personal keepsake, that someone decided was so important to them that they would sacrifice their time, and body for for the rest of their lives. That to me speaks louder than any wedding ring, any friendship bracelet etc could EVER do.
Now granted some people will get tattoos to stray outside of the mainstream or to be less like people like you, needless to say I can't blame them, while others do it because tattoos are rather popular right now and they want to be like everyone else. Also another reason some people get them is because it makes them feel more attractive. For instance my friend had surgery on her spine, then went and had a tattoo cover up the scar which I think looks much better. People do things like get fake boobs, or pierce their ears or dye their hair because they're trying to project the image of something they want. Opposites attract, but that phrase is usually referring to personality differences, but for the most part people with lots of tats, hook up with people who either have them or like them. It's basically a way of narrowing down potential mates. I know that having my tattoos has weeded out a lot of pompass close minded prude individuals of which I wouldn't want anything to do with even before I had tattoos.
The only difference between tattoos and getting boob jobs plastic surgery etc is because these are socially santioned money makers that the Government can tax and make money off of from the Doctors performing them. So I hope this answers your question, remember Proconception is the greatest barrier to enlightenment!

Hmm. I don't believe GOD gave me anything, rather science and culture gave me things. Science and genetics and reproduction provided me with a body, culture allowed me to get tattoos and piercings. So what you said is already flawed as far as I'm concerned. Not everyone follows YOUR religion, so keep it out of the topic and to yourself
You are probably one of many who feel tattoos are unnecessary and ridiculous, but you don't see it our way, we don't see it your way. For as many people who have tattoos, I don't see the number decreasing any time soon.
The reason for those laser treatements is to give the CHANCE to take back something that you are rather unhappy with. So while we're at it, lets get rid or liposuction, botox, breast implants, nose jobs and everything else that helps people become happier with themselves. OR lets just allow people to do what keeps them happy.
I suggest you preach to a different crowd because myself and many others really don't care what you say or how you feel about what we do to OUR bodies.

Why do you care what I decide to do with or on my body? Why does it affect you in any way shape or form?
I got my first tat at 43 yo with my 19 yo dtr, we each have a tat that is the symbol for life, love & loyalty. Even when I get old and wrinkley I will be happy I made that decision.
That said, tats aren't for everyone. Just don't judge what you don't understand and that which does not directly affect you.

How can you make such a broad judgement? Everyone gets a tatto for different reasons. Some people are drunk or infatuated which doesn't make sense. However, there are those people who get tattoos in remembrance of a love one who passed or their family members. I mean its each to his own. Have you ever seen the show INKED on A&E? some of those people get tattoos for reasons other than fashion.

Well that's why it's my body and not yours.
You are probably one of those people that want or have one,but where no one can see it.
How you treat your body is up to you.How i treat mine is up to me,and if choose to decorate the body god gave me,why does it matter to you.
If you feel so strongly about God,what do you think of religious tattoos?Would that be something you would want gone,if your such a religious person?Wouldn't putting something religious be a sign of your devotion to god or whomever you worship?
Good luck to you ,and may God open your eyes,so you can stop judging others. That's his job.

I disagree.
I have a tattoo but it is of a maple leaf? Why? Because no matter where I live, I will always be a Canadian at heart. People who get things like zodiac signs and stuff are smart. They know that they cannot run away from their zodiac. Things like that are with you forever.
People who get things like butterflies and popular-at-the-time cartoon characters or band symbols are silly.
I thinks it's gross when people are covered in them! But at the same time, no one says YOU have to get one. Other people having tattoos aren't hurting you in anyways and if you don't like them, don't look. If God didn't want us to get tatoos, He would have made us out of plastic. It's also his job to judge people, not your's.

I don't think you can generalize so much about it. Other people have a variety of reasons for getting a tattoo. I got my first one over 10 years ago, and because it has become part of my body, I don't hate it--just like I don't hate any other part of my body.

I completely disagree! Humans have been putting ink on their skin since ancient times, its been a part of life since forever, in some parts of the world tattoos signify everything in the lives of the people who have them. you know some people actually get tattoos to mark their experiences and who they are and not for social reasons
