And, does it hurt and what do you do when u gota wash your hair and to take it off. Does it ruin your hair?

PS. And remember, I don't have the normal black curly hair thing...its wavy blonde we are dealing with here.

they will be fine.
when you wash your hair, simply rub some shampoo between your palms, and pat your head. let the water run on your head and sort of massage your head a bit. squeeze the braids, don't rub them together.
They likely won't last as long as someone with courser hair, but you will enjoy them while you have them
when you go to take them out - use alot of conditioner and gently tug at the braids and they will loosen and fall out. Be ready for LOTS of hair to come out with them. and I mean gobs. Don't worry though, it's just the natural loss of hair that you would have lost anyway. (we lose about 200 strands a day)

Girls with blonde hair and cornrows RARELY look right. You might subject yourself to some serious ridicule from people who are a little more discriminatory. But that being said, I'll answer the rest of your questions.

It might hurt depending on who does it. Some African-Americans braid really tight and it might be hard even to turn you head fully. It won't take long to take them out, and they won't damage your hair. Some people even say that cornrowing your hair makes it grow.

Now, If you decide to go and get cornrows, I won't judge. With a little attitude, some blondes can pull it off. I am in the military, and sometimes before Field exercises, All the girls (including the white girls) will have their hair cornrowed. Without access to showers and having your head in sweaty helmet all day, it can be a bit more practical.

Also, my mother told me when she was a teenager, she'd cornrow her hair if she knew she was going to get into a fight, that way, the other girl wouldn't be able to pull her hair.

Hope it works out for you, whatever your reason for doing this might be.

Yes, you can get cornrows if you want. It will look fine - anyone can get them as long as your hair is long enough. As far as it hurting - it is very tight when you first get them done - you made need to take a Motrin or something since it is your first time getting them done I am assuming. When you want to wash your hair with the cornrows you just wash in between the tracks (where your scalp shows) and sit under a dryer or use a blowdryer to dry it. It doesn't ruin your hair, but only keep them in for two weeks or so - you don't want them in forever - plus since I am guessing your white your corn rows probably wont last as long since your hair is more fine. Good luck with the rows!

I like corn rows. I had some and you can wash your hair like normal. I'd suggest getting some halfway between where your hairline starts and your nape of your neck is and leave the rest loose, it would look really pretty with blonde hair. No it doesn't hurt or ruin your hair. I don't have black curly hair but I have dark brown wavy/curly hair so I think it would be okay with wavy hair.
Hope this helps!

Ok, I have naturally light blonde hair. But I also have what hairstylists refer to as "ethnic" hair. With both together, you got one freaky 'do'. LOL!

Anyway, since my hair is "ethnic", and difficult to deal with, I thought getting cornrows was a good idea. (This was many, many, many, many years ago, mind you.) Let me just say that it does not look good on blonde, fair skinned women. Too much scalp shows, and it just looks aweful. It doesn't hurt to get done at all and when I washed my hair, I just shampooed my exposed scalp (lol) and gently massaged the shampoo into the cornrows and then rinsed it all out. I also used braid spray too to try to keep it healthy and in check. (That stuff smelled nice.) So, it wasn't damaging to my hair at all. I just unbraided it, when I wanted it out and my hair was fine. And since your hair is wavy, it's far less fragile than mine, so you should have no problem with damage and should have no problem with frizz or maintenance. But like I said, it looked aweful. Well, (I liked it at the time, but I was a grunge chick. But looking back on it now...I can't imagine what I was thinking! *shudders*)

Cornrows actually look nice, but OMG do they hurt while being put in! I can handle a lot but I was in tears while they were braiding those suckers. The end result was beautiful, but for the first day I had a headache they were pulled so tight. You can just wash your hair normally while leaving them in. After a week or so I took them out, and OMG my hair was a mess! All kinky and one shampoo/cond. didn't fix it. It took a few days.

I know this white girl who got her hair braided and so I believe that you can to. Now the pain depends on who does your hair and if you can withstand it. It mainly feels like someone is pulling your hair but its not that bad. It really depends on the type of hair you buy for cronrows, like syntheic hair all you do is take it out like regular hair. Just wash it like it was your own hair and you shouldn't have a problem.

you could still get corn rows, it depends on who ever does your hair too. and if you have to shampoo your hair you would have to take your braids out. and if you're tender in your head then it might hurt a little but yet it still all depends on who does your hair.
