And why, then, would we not put the same warning on the Bible, or any other book, for that matter?

The church is filled with good and bad people, it doesn't make a difference what the devil does, each person must be persuaded in their own mind as to truth. Read Rev.12:15 there is a flood there that the devil cast out after the woman, the flood is false doctrine, the woman is the church, the church is being carried about by all sorts of strange teachings. Eventually, God will remove the bad people so that the church will be able to go into all the world with power, that is when the devil will make his last war with the remnant that keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. So, you can't stop it, nor can the truth of God be stopped, that is the spiritual warfare that is going on, in our very lives for one and in the heavens for the other!

There is NO true religion, religions are man made laws. Being spiritual is not a religion. Read the words of the Holy Bible, do your homework after service or Bible study class and make sure the word of God lines up with what you learned from your teachers. Be careful of the faith movement that is leaking into so many churches. Make sure their words align with scripture. God Bless!
The Holy Spirit, God, and reading from the Bible won't brainwash you. The only way to keep satin out is to KNOW GOD'S HOLY WORD AND THAT IS THE ONLY TRUTH.

ALL religious doctrines and scriptures have the possibility of brainwashing people! It's the reader's choice whether to believe it or not.
