It's OK, the meat in a hot dog is fully cooked.
Did you know that hot dogs and bologna are basically the same thing? Bologna is just a giant hot dog sliced thin.

Yes!

Hot dogs are cooked at the plant, so they are safe to eat out of the package.

I wouldn't eat anything out of a package without heating it to an internal temp of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm safe serve certified btw so maybe I'm just more anal about it then the average person.

It's never ok to eat hot dogs. period. "Contents can also be questionable, with cheaper types of hot dogs having been known to contain snouts, ears and blended organs." Try a better snack, like string cheese.

umm i think so since they were smoked before they were package but I'm really not sure. It's better to at least put it in the microwave or boil it. You can never be too sure!

Better warmed up ... but they are already cooked, but there could still be some bacteria in the cold dog that could hurt you, cook it just to kill bacteria. OK
... and it'll taste better.

How interesting, I have never thought of that.

I would say no I guess, since hot dogs are formed and pressed meat scraps.
But it won't kill you
