He wants to be indoors but he's way too hyper and all our furniture is new and he lost all his sense of training when my aunt took over and let him be like whatever.

I know I'm going to get slammed for this but here goes, learned this from a dog trainer years ago and it works, we have trained 3 dogs not to bark this way. When the dog barks, grab his snout in one hand and pop his nose with the otherfree hand, just once. and say in a firm voice NO BARK. This doesnt hurt the dog, it just pushes air up his nose and he doesnt like it. In a pack the Alpha dog will snip or snap at the face of a dog that is out of line, this alos teaches your dog that you are the alpha.

*** you really need to get your dog house broken so it can be in the house with you.. Theres no point in having a pet if you arent going to make it part of the family. Dogs arent like livestock.. they need human contact and praise.***

Watch The Dog Whisperer. I have learned a lot from Cesar. You have to learn dog language and you do that by paying attention to your dog's needs and habits. He sounds like he is in need of constant attention, try putting him in a kennel cage for short periods of time so he can have some down time. And remember, his bark is the only voice that he has. I have two Shelties and they are very noisy. When they start barking and demanding attention, I turn my back to them and totally ignore them untill the barking stops.Try taking the ball away and ignoreing him, if you are yellimg at him to shut up, he has no idea of what you are saying. Just put your hand on his muzzle and say no and make a shushing sound. It really does work but you have to work at it with him. Good Luck.

A dog doesn't forget their training. You just haven't been consistant with it. The obiediance classes give the dog not only physical activity but also mental stimulation and this releases stress and anxiety in the dog. The barking is a release of stress because he dosen't get enough physical and mental stimulation to release this stress. So O.B classes and other activities i.e Playing ball, or catching frisbee or even a daily 30 min walk would alieve this stress and he will not bark uncontrolably. You must remember dogs are not naturally a solitude type creature. But in fact a pack oriented animal. So another reason he barks like he does is that he sees his family as his pack. And his natural instinct is to want to be with his pack i.e You, Hubbie,Kids, ect. The activity I spoke of above is a extention of this pack activity. If you would like to have your dog in your home with the family? The more regular activity you provide for this guy the more you will see that he is a more calm and enjoyable pet and it won't be a problem for him to be in the home with his pack. If house breaking is a problem. Not to worry crate training is the most effective and humane way to do this. All you have to do is get him the appropriate size crate. Put a couple of his favorite toys, a blanket, chewy of some kind to help keep him occupied and always feed him in his crate. If he has never been in a crate he will probably wine or cry at first for a few nights but remember dog are instintually a dening animal and will begin to see the crate as his den and a safe comfortable place to be. Very important!! DO NOT take him out of the crate when he begins to cry or wine when you start the crate training. No matter how MUCH he cries. IT WILL BE TOUGH! But if you do that he will use crying as a trigger because he will think that you will let him out. He will cry, but he will give it up after a little while. Only let him out when he had settled down for a little while. This will also imprint on his mind that he get to come on your terms and not his. Every time you take him out of crate take him directly out to pottie and do not play with him when he goes out to pottie that way he associates going outside with doing his buisness and not playing. As soon as you are sure he is finished bring him back in and praise with( GOOD BOY)!!!!. And then play with him. This will imprint on him that when he goes outside from the crate and at other scheduled times that it's time to do his buisness and nothing else. Also a good way to let your dog know when he needs to go out to pottie is to say the word pottie as he is actually doing his buisness. I know that sounds kinda silly and rediculous. But what this does is teach the dog word association just like the words; sit, stay , come, heel. It works in the same way. I have trained my dogs to actually pottie on command using this technique. Even if they dont really have to go that bad they will still make an effort to try to get something to come out. The crate is also a good place for your dog to be when you have to leave your house for a little while. And it also helps him except the crate as a den and a safe, comfortable place. Besides you don't want the little guy outside when its cold or bad weather. You want hiim to be warm and in a safe place while your not at home. Good luck

Put a lit match on the dog's rectum, preferably of the wooden variety. The barking will soon be replaced by a few yelps and excessive licking. That wasn't an issue before, was it?

how do you expect him to be house broken if he's never in the house? most dogs are very easy to train if you have the time. be consistent, take them out the same door every time. take them out every hour or more. keep them at your side when in the house so you can see when they start sniffing for a spot to "go". always praise, praise praise for going outside. never punish for mistakes inside the house. it only teaches them to hide it or not trust you.

my vetr told me that he uses the shocking collar. he said his dog learned in 1 day. you control how often or how strong you the shock is. it beeps right before it shocks them they learn that if they hear that beep that they better stop barking. you can turn the shock off and leave the beep on.
the only problem is that the collar is slighty expensive but it is worth it to get rid of the annoying barking. good luck to you.

Try to train him to stay outside, or wherever you put him, until he's pottytrained. Put his favorite toys outside, and give him a few treats when he doesn't bark, when he is where you put him. Good luck!
