Actually, a kid did an experiment a few years ago for science fair. He had his barber measure his hair each month. His theory was that his hair would grow faster in colder weather, but his theory was proven wrong-it grew faster in the summer. Now, don't know if you can make much out of it, but there it is.

If health,etc is normal,,,your hair grows approx. 1/4 in. per month as a basis. summer,winter no real diff.
