if my mom went thru menopause at a young age (in her 40s), does that mean i will go thru meanopause at a young age too??

No everybody is different. My mom had her menopause at the age of 55 and I had menopause at the age of 30. It depends on the body type of the person not the gene.

My Mom went into menopause at 39. I had it at 50. It sucks.

If you started your period young, then yes, you'll probably go through menopause young. But that's not a bad thing. It's better than having a hysterectomy and forcing it. You're OK. Take care!

No. Everyone goes through it at a certain age. Just because your mom is going through it at her 40's doesn't mean you two.
The body works in many different ways.

Everyone is different you may not go through until your fifties. Your symptoms may not even be obvious or you can suffer from hormonal imbalances which may result in irritability or hot flashes. Go and see your gynecologist and he will be able to tell you if he feels you have started.

May or may not but it usually follows the mothers pattern. Same goes for menstrual cycles.
