Okay, BEFORE you go out drinking eat a slice or two of bread (hope you aren't one of these crazy anti-bread people). When you are DONE drinking alchoholic beverage, but before you pass out, drink at least an 8 ounce glass of water. One of the chief causes of hangover is dehydration.

Match each drink with a glass of water. And try to eat something before bed - a plain cheeseburger from McDonalds usually will do. And order a bottle of water in the drive through while you're there to wash it down. Take a multi-vitamin when you wake up in the morning. If you still REALLY feel like s**t the next day, crack open a beer and drink the whole thing. I recommend the beer thing only if you have stuff you need to get done the next day. If you're just hanging out at home - make yourself suffer through it. Maybe it will keep you from drinking so much next time.

In the ER I used to work in, it was common to give iv's supplemented with an assortment of vitamins to prevent hangovers. I've tried gatroade type drinks inbtwn. the hard stuff and haven't had a hangover in several years. I'm pretty confident that taking multivitamins would work too. I'm not sure how much you need before or after to prevent hangover though.

Drink water. Alternate between booze and a glass of water if your still partying. Try to drink water for several hours before going to sleep. Gulping down a big glass of H20 or Gatorade before hitting the sack may help a little, but will ultimately make you more nauseated than anything else and your body will either reject the fluid or process it too quickly to be of much benefit.. The hangover that most folks experience is due in large part to dehydration. Don't take aspirin or Tylenol before going to bed. While fairly uncommon, it could kill you if you've been drinking heavily.

There are no cures. Not coffee, not water, not more alcohol.
The only thing that helps a hangover is time and not drinking too much to begin with. The other things are the OWT(old wives tales) that have been publicized in the media by movies and such. They dont' work.

Unfortunately I don't think there is anything that can help once you have started drinking, other than to stop :-)
However the next time you should try Milk Thistle before you start drinking. You can get it from health food shops like Holland and Barratt and this will help by creating a lining in your stomach.

OKAY. When your out drinking make sure to drink even just a little bit of water in between glasses. Just drink lots of water in general. I find popsicles make me feel better when im hungover.
But personally, the best cure is to smoke a bowl before you go to sleep. It so works.

After getting home, take 2 Tylenol and a BIG glass of water....horrible for your liver but great to prevent hangovers!

drink about 2-3 glasses of ice water before going to bed (it'll prevent dehydration AND it'll get some much-needed oxygen to your brain); take 2 extra strength tylenol before bed (to prevent a big ol' headache); eat something before bed (to get some nourishment and to prevent low blood sugar); in the morning, or whenever you wake up, eat something greasy (like a tenderloin, or some fried chicken, or greasy curly fries or onion rings)...the salt and grease will actually calm your stomach if you can believe it! do the above and you will feel pretty good in the morning. guaranteed!! good luck!

Drink as much water as you can stand and take 2 aspiran before you "go to bed".Have some Gatorade in the frig for the morning,it replaces electro-lites and let's you feel human again.If you wake up before morning eat some protien,a peice of cheese or a bit of meat.
