We have been staying in a hotel for 2 months for his work in northern CA. I am the only one who drives our Audi. We are very protective of our car because its new. I just went down to walk our dog and discovered 3 light scratches. I try to park in a good spot, but its a hotel and isnt private parking. Im afraid he is going to blame me. He is always bitching how I park the car and how I drive it. What can I say?

Light scratches?
Better than a dent!

Just tell him. I went to go to 'wherever' and i noticed these scratches on the car.. its not like you did it (did you?) why would you apologize..
Its a car, and it happens.. I have a brand new car with a door ding, at least its had its first mark now and its not perfect.. if i wanted it to be perfect, i'd have to park it in the garage and never drive it. Same goes for yours, and anyones.

We all take care to protect what we have, some more than others, but just don't allow it to become an all consuming thing.
Just remember this: When it is all said and done and the smoke clears, it is still just a vehicle to get you from one place to another. And in the process, it is going to be zapped, dinged, pooped on, scratched, and bumped by all kinds of things. Your husband is just going to have to accept that fact.

It you didn;t scratch it, why are you guilty?
If the Audi is such a trophy vehicle, you two had better find a safe park for it or get a vehicle that can sustain normal usage.

Just tell him. If he has to blame you, look at him blankly or coldly and say. I didn;t scratch it, some moron did. Deal with it, or don;t...I don;t care.

The next opportunity you have when you are with him. Causally walk around the car and throw a tantrum when you "see the scratch." Act like it just happened at that very moment.

Take a hammer and smash in the lights and hood. He will think someone else did it. Then say, Oh look, they put three scratches on the car too!

The car has some scratches. I am sure glad you love me more than some silly car. The best things in life arent things.

Hon, there are some scratches on the car. End of story. I'm not afraid to tell my husband anything. If he wants to argue about something, I walk away. I'll talk about it when he's calm and not wanting to demean me.

Point to the scratches and say "Look! There are scratches on the car!" Then get your own car and NEVER let him drive it.

If you didnt do it, why are you worrying? Just walk up one day and say "holy $h!t look at what someone did to the car" accidents happen, fixing minor scratches are easy and relatively inexpensive. Don't lose sleep over something like this.

You were almost mugged. The bad guy got away but scratched your car during the whole ordeal.
