In some states it could be classified as a misdemeanor. Other states will just carry a point/violation assessment. It all depends on the state that you live in.

In the state of Ohio reckless operation of a motor vehicle is a misdemeanor 1 punishable by six months incarceration or $1000.00 fine or both and your driving priviledges can be suspended. May be higher now.

Yikes, reckless is a pretty heavy misdomeanor traffic charge. I recommend getting an attorney to try to get it reduced, otherwise you will pay more in increased insurance premiums over a year than you would in attorneys fees. Do not plead guilty, get counsel.

there are many and it depends on your state. we shoot people for reckless driving in Arizona.

You will get a fat ticket and your insurance will go up...thats if they dont cancel your policy ......
