there are many different words that have been used for family - these are a few and in what sense they relate to the word family. Familia is probably as good as any.
Fides in familia (household)
Fides in sanguine (blood-relationship)
Fides in prosapia (race, stock)
Fides in genera (birth, descent, origin)
Fides in foco (hearth, home)

I agree with Jeannie. Another possible translation is fides in gente, which means faith in clan/tribe/race.
