My husband and I always laughed at my sleep walking episodes. But one night I actually walked down stairs, grabbed my keys off of the key rack and tried to walk out of the house. Good thing the door was locked and I couldn't open it.. and my husband was still awake watching TV. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if the wasn't awake. I never have any memory of sleep walking at all. This really scared me, any suggestions?

Usually no specific treatment for sleep walking is needed.

Safety measures may be necessary to prevent injury. This may include modifying the environment by moving objects such as electrical cords or furniture to reduce tripping and falling. Stairways may need to be blocked off with a gate.

In some cases, short-acting tranquilizers have been helpful in reducing sleep walking episodes.

Put the ottoman or rocking chair in the hallway. When you stub your pinky toe on it, you will wake up. You might even wake up the neighbors. Be sure an tell the dogs to quit barking ...........................Got anything yummy in the fridge? :)
