Christians are baptized in Jesus' Name. Baptists aren't.

Yeah dude, I read over all the answers. I think you really need to do a little more research. As a Christian, I was brought up in a Baptist Church. Like most said, Baptist are always (suppose to be) Christian, but Christians can be of any Faith,any Religion, not necessarily Baptist.

Baptist is under the umbrella of Christianity but they believe a few things different like eternal security (you can never lose your salvation once you have it) "once saved always saved" and the idea that baptism is just a symbol and not important in your conversion to Christianity.

Baptists are Christians. To be Christian means that you follow Christ's teachings and accept Jesus as your God and Savior. There are many other Christian churches besides Baptists including the Catholic Church which is the oldest Christian church started by Jesus himself.

A baptist is always a christian but a christian isn't always a baptist. A Christian could be catholic, methodist, lutheran and many others.
