Yes, there is an app that removes DRM from WMAs. It's called Fair use4WM. Google it for download locations. It is difficult to find.

Well, I don't know of any applications that would remove the protections so you could convert .wma to .mp3. However, I do know of another method that works... (at least, I believe). You could burn the .wma to a CD-R (and make it an Audio CD), and then rip it back onto your computer.
