I met this guy in a online chatroom and we have had 2 conversations and I really enjoy talkin to him but I would like to get to know him better before we meet. I really like him already but I still need to find out more about him. Do you think I should pursue this or just get a life? He asks all the time when can I come see you or give me your number but I have 2 kids and I have to be careful. What should I do?

it seems u are new at this ... there are too many people here u simply cant trust!!! every time someone asks my phone number from the first time we talk i run! :) it just doesnt seem right, it is not as if u talked with someone for a long time, u got to like each other more, and the desire to meet each other grew up naturally. u have a husband too? i know of occasions with weirdos that when the girl wouldnt have sex with them went and talk to their husbands. i am not against internet dating but in this case this guy sounds a bit desparate, a bit pushy, and a bit strange. u will meet hunderds of guys in chat rooms, be careful of who u chose to meet! try to find out something more about his real life before u do so and verify some of the details he will give u. Always meet the other in a public place and inform a friend of yours about this, where u will be and with who to check on u :) have fun

Be careful. After two conversations he shouldn't even be considering meeting you. That's a dangerous thought.

My advice is to continue talking online only, get to know him and possibly call each other, but do not give out any personal information he could use to come see you. Honestly, the fact that he's trying to met you already sends up huge red flags and you really should stop talking to him. More so because you have children.

If you're doing this for company or a first time go at online dating, maybe you should try some sites that are specifically for that. They provide a little more protection from online predators.

Remember, you shouldn't met anyone right away, alone or send them money.

I think online chatting is stupid because they are usually acting fake over the internet and once you meet them, they are nothing like they said they are. Just warning you in advance.

if he is a decent guy with good intentions he wont pressure you...you have every right to be cautious.....get to know him much better and see if he gives you pertinent details before you give him any of yours

well do you feel like you can trust him enough? i know chatting is fun and it takes up your time, but you need to be careful, not everyone appears to be who they say they are.
