By far because Christianity teaches tolerance, love, and forgiveness. I get tired of everyone bashing each others religions. It is not for us to judge others. Only God has that right and only God will be our final judge. Unfortunately there are also some Christian sects that act like radical maniacs toward those who don't believe the same way they do. However that is not the Christian way. The Catholics are the most tolerant of all between the different Christian Churches, I have noticed.
I believe the media is biased against Catholics because even though there are some bad priests who have messed up, I will bet there are just as many bad protestant ministers and bad rabbis and bad clerics , but we only hear the reports about the Catholic priests.

People are criticizing catholic priests for what they did, not what they believe. And again, this is a very small number of priests that did those acts.
That is the difference. Yes, it is wrong to condemn people for what they believe (criticize is not really the right word here). But given the recent events, it is almost impossible to not expect some kind of backlash toward catholic priests.
By the same token, any Islamic cleric that supports terrorism should be condemned as well. This is not because he is a Muslim, but because he supports the killing of people.
It is not for us to judge religions, but the actions of people and how they affect other should be held up for questioning.

Well, I guess it all depends on what you're criticizing.
If someone is criticizing catholic preists for child molestation, they're absolutely right. Catholic preists should not molest children.
If you're criticizing Jewish people, it depends what you're criticizing them for too. If you're just being stereotypical, then it's a problem. Most of the complaints made about jewish people are invalid assumptions or generalized stereotypes.
If you're criticizing Islam, you've got a bunch of fundamental freaks who will threaten to kill you, but you also have sensible muslims who will try to make you see their point of view.
Let's face it, all religions are criticized in one form or another. No religion is safe from criticism.

There is always going to be criticism no matter who you are. There is a difference between being critical and being racist. And anybody of sound character I would expect to criticize child molestation.
But the facts are these: A. The Catholic Church is dealing with the problem instead of trying to cover it up.
B. Moderate Muslims are making little or no effort to stop the roots of terrorism.
C. The Jews are a simple race of people just trying to survive on the small section of land God set apart for them.

hint: many religions started as either military coups or business scams. Someday this will become crystal clear. like how the devil convinced the world he doesnt exist. Someday he won't.

It is not the religion, it is the followers of any of these religions who do bad things to disgrace the pure teachings of their respective messengers.

No one is above criticism. However, racism and insults are really low. People should be better than that.
