I'm crazy about cooking and currently I'm in love with my new saute pan :) Before that it was my Cuisinart handheld blender.

Non-foodie people won't understand.

A Magnalite Frying pan. A gift from my granny in 1957. It is heavy - but also makes the best fudge. I once had my granny's stew pot - sadly I used it until - I wore a tiny hole in the bottom. It was old - when she gave it to me. I have my granny's meat grinder - it fastens on to the the edge of the table or the cupboard and I have a very small grinder fastened to the window seal, just for show. It is small and was probably used to grind nuts. I have many beautiful serving dishes that were given to me by my granny. They were given to her by my mom. I can no longer cook. My husband cooks very little. Too bad - I have what - I call an idle kitchen. Fun question to answer. DeeJay. Additional information: Talk about old things. My avatar is a 1916 Valentine. My mother-in-law gave it to her mother when she was 10 years old. We have it framed and hanging on the wall above my computer. The red is fading.

I have a cast iron enamel dutch oven that I have had for 35 years. It is a beautiful dark orange, almost red, color with a white interior that has stained from use, and I love that pot. Have cooked everything in that pot from beans to candy. Hope to have it until I die.

My tasting spoon. It is a little double ended wooden spoon with a deep bowl for tasting (obviously).

It was given to me by someone who loves to take my "foodie" virginity on a regular basis. He is forever bringing me new things to try.

My commercial style mixer with 10 quart bowl, dough hooks, grinder/shredder attachments.
It's so much more powerful and quicker than a food processor.

Old wooden spoon. No matter what I'm cooking, nothing starts until I find my wooden spoon. My wife gave it to our son to play with one day.....thought I was gonna have a heart attack!
