back in highschool i had athelete's foot like woah! tinactin for 2.5 months, baza cream (the kind they use in hospitals, supposedly) for one month, then lamisil (the one-week spray formula) for 1.5 months.....nothing. i've found the best treatment for me was to not wear shoes/socks as much as possible, and to at least twice a day, spray my feet down with 50/50 bleach and water mixture. let it air dry. got rid of it in 7 days.

Seriously, don't bother with a cream. Go to your doctor and ask for Lamisil. (The Lamisil cream works, but the pill is a LOT better!) I've used a couple different brands and types of treatment and honestly, the Lamisil pills work the best. Also, I recommend that you NOT go barefoot in public gyms at all for any reason. I suggest you wear a pair of "flip-flops" in the showers, etc. Everytime I've gotten athlete's foot I can trace it right back to a gymnasium locker room.

You have no choice: get an over the counter drug store anti-fungal cream. Try for +/- week....then get Rx stregnth from you doc. Do not use a hydrocortisone anti itch cream...that will make the fungi grow and get worse. get a anti-fungal product
