This weekend I'm traveling to Puerto Rico. 1 week. Any recommendations for sights? I'll be in Rio Grande.

The north east side of Puerto Rico is a good place to stay. Rio Mar and Paradisus are excellent resorts to stay. In Rio Grande area you can take an excursion, or a rented car, to El Yunque Rain Forest. Pack some sandwiches and drinks a make a picnic in the forest. Prepare to get wet and to go hiking with tennis, T-shirt and jeans. The beautiful Luquillo beach is also very close to Rio Grande. I will also recommended a trip to Fajardo where you can take a day sailing to Icacos or Palominos Islands. El Conquistador Hotel, another good hotel choice, is in a hill overlooking this islands ( a private hotel ferry can take you to Palominos). In Fajardo you can find shopping centers and places to eat, but if you are in the mode for shopping go to Belz Factory Outlet in Canovanas.

Right next to You..You have
1- El Yunque Rain Forest..the entrance is free...
2- Luquillo beautiful Beach with the Typical vendors selling Cod Fish Fritters.."Bacalaitos".
If you're renting a car you can travel 10 minutes to Carolina to the turist area
3-Isla Verde or you can travel like 20 minutes to
4-Fajardo (las Cabezas boardwalk) where the best sea food can be found.
Of course if you have time you can visit the
5-Old San Juan area ..that's like 25 minutes form Rio Grande..

A night time-time Kayak excursion of the Bioluminiscent Lagoon in Vieques (Much greater than La Parguera, feel me, I've noticeable each.) four. Arecibo Observatory and Rio Camuy Caverns Park. five. Any of the numerous shores in Puerto Rico. (Dorado, Luquillo, Etc.) Have amusing!

the tropical rain forest is a most. it is in that town. el conquistador in fajardo. old san juan and the outlets in canovanas and culebra island. you can take the ferry from fajardo it will take you to culebra or st. thomas.

Go to Las Picuas Beach. You will enjoy it there. The surf is spectacular.
