You are who you are for a reason.
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect unique
design,
Called God's special woman or man.
You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
The parents you had were the ones
he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's
Plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.
No, that trauma you faced was not
easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.
You are who you are for a reason,
You're been formed by the Master's
rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!

I like the one I wrote better, It was also published. It is called "VANITY" and it is definitely not sophmoric.
Away in the night on a pillar of fire,
The Rockets blast doth roar.
Away in the night through star studded skies
In search of a distant Shore.
Wher goest thou man, with ego too vast
For your tiny world to contain
Knowest you not, your works and your tears
Have always been in vain.
Turn back your clocks a thousand years
Think of times long dead.
The greatness you feel is only a dream
Created by Fear and Dread.
You fear the truth, you are nothing
In spite of your arrogant pride
You are lesser still than a speck of dust
so hastily brushed aside
Your future is clear, oh puny man
your will fill all space 'ere you're done
But you never will find the secret
of how it was all begun.
Take it or leave it people, but don't bother me with childlike mouthings.

That is Beautiful! It sums up the fact that we are made by a loving God in his image and likeness and for the purpose He intended. We are all part of His perfect plan. He suffered to purify all of us when He was without sin. If we must bear the burden, too it is only to strengthen our faith. I love it!

I agree with the poem and have some feelings of mine own.In a song that I wrote God said he will bring us peace. In another of my songs I ask God to fulfill my life as I say to the people"THAT MY GOD HE IS THE LIGHT"

If god allows children to be raped, murdered, forced into child soldiers beaten up and left to starve for the sole purpose of "shaping their hart", it's a very aggressive, sick god.

I really love this poem! It helps me be happy with my long nose, fat belly and bad attitude. I also have a loving God who knew what he was doing.
