The only thing that me and my brother DO agree on is that we hate our half brothers. They're stupid and gay and I just can't stand them. Nobody can.

Unfortunately, there will always be times, either in the workplace, at parties or in families where you find yourself in the company of people you don't like or even "hate". All you owe anyone is courtesy or at the least, civility. Go to the party, at least for awhile. Without being rude, avoid the people you don't want to spend time with and focus rather on the people you like. If this is too difficult, ask if you can be excused from the party...but you might end up hurting the feelings of other relatives.

Well, you could allow people you hate to dictate your actions and not go see the rest of your family. Or you could grow up and go see the rest of your family and ignore your half brothers.

P.S. You might want to be more careful how you use the word "gay" in type...you can be easily misunderstood. Unless you hate Gays, then I understood you completely.
