could my daughter have psychic abilities?

Question

when my daughter was 5 months old my next door neighbor who was an older lady died. nobody moved into her house but occasionally her son would come over and cut the grass.
one day when my daughter was two she was driving her tricycle down the street beside me as we past the house were the old lady died she looked at me and said "mommy where's that lady"
I said "waht lady?'
She said "the lady that lived in that house. she used to sit on the step all the time" I was kinda freaked out .
another time when i was coming down the stairs at my house were me and my daughter were the only ones home she said to me when i reached the bottom of the stairs. "who's that mommy"
I said who's who She said who's that that come down the stairs behind you.
there have been other things she has said that also fresked me out.

I am catholic

and for "the nothing" who said that demons are speaking to my child and there is no such thing as a good ghost . I'll say the same thing to you that montell williams said the other day. after sept .11 ,01 there were many spirits. if they were out to harm don't you think OSAMA bin laden would be dead.

Children are far more likely to show such talents than adults because they have not yet developed the ego resistance that is common in adults, and which tends to block such impressions.
Encourage it in her! It's a gift!
I would also recommend reading some of Shirley MacLaines' books, especially Out On A Limb. She has dealt with this a lot.

Don't take this the wrong way when I state this but...

You didn't seem to mention anything about your religious affiliations so I'm assuming you have none or are an athiest/agnostic family??

Your child is seeing demons. They communicate to children at an early age because it is harder for the child when it grows up, to remove this presence from their life.

There is no such thing as ghosts. To prove this, what has a ghost ever done that is a positive kind thing?? Nothing. They never do anything positive.

They either scratch you and haunt you, or do nothing but just appear.

That's because they aren't of a positive nature.

You should start teaching your child the word of God from the Bible.

Or find a church that preaches the Bible and not the word of man that is supposedly in the Bible.

You may be hesitant to do this, because you are not familiar with this faith, but know that the Bible of the Lord does not preach hell. That is created by man.

You need to get the word of God in her life, because if she is to go around your house singing songs praising the Lord, she will not see them.

They will not bother something that practices worship of God.

Do not take this lightly. She is not psychic.

If you tell her to pursue these things it will cause problems for her in the future. And you as well, seeing as you will have to deal with these problems as you are her mother.


And stay away from anything written by Shirley McClaine. Astral Projections is a practice used by pagans and witches.

Please heed this warning. You are the protector of your child.

Please don't be "freaked out" by what you do not understand. Try to take an attitude of curiosity; try to question (and maybe even cultivate) what your daughter's unusual gift is (if anything). No-one knows for sure what or who else is Out There. Don't accept anyone's explanations that include absolute statements about things or events that defy scientific explanation. Intellectual curiosity should motivate you (and others) to explore the inexplicable.

Maybe the better question to ask is why you're afraid and what you're afraid of. If your daughter picks up on your fear and discomfort -- and she will; kids are so perceptive (as you already know about your own child) -- you run the risk of her ceasing to share things with you. And that would be a great loss for both of you.

Your daughter is not the only one with a possible gift. You have one, as well: Your child.

Ever seen "The Sixth Sense"? I got creeped out by your story just as I did when I saw that movie. Next time something happens like that, encourage your daughter to talk about it some more. You may be able to get a clearer idea of what's going on.

It's very possible. She seems like a very smart girl. Have you ever said anything about the old lady, even when you thought she wasn't listening? (Not trying to shoot you down, just exploring possibilities) And with the stairs thing, children often see things that aren't real. (As you probably know)
But, it would be really cool if she does. :)

Well if what you say is The truth, I'd say you have a "sensitive" as a child. They can see ghosts and spirits. However; most seem to lose the ability as they grow older. I would write down all her your experiences you have with her that way you can keep track and have time-lines.

Yes, I definitely think it's possible she could be psychic. I know some people don't believe in it but there are times stuff you cannot explain. Your daughter's knowledge of your neighbor is one such example.

Its possible. there are real psychics but most people dont believe because there are so many frauds out there trying to make a fast buck by pretending to be psychic.

her brain when she was young could have stored it as a memory in the subconscious and she is remembering now and the old man thing could have been a memory or somthing and she is putting it in what she is looking at. but i beliveve in psychic.
