What this means, is that true Christians don't get stressed out, or wig out when life gets rough. We have peace and joy in the worst of times because we know the Lord will help us. No other belief can create this in a person, "the Lord makes a way where there seems to be none". We don't see anything impossible about our situations, the Lord works everything out. When people see this peace and calm in us, they wonder how we can be this way, therefore, they see "Jesus" in us.

If as false religion does that person drinks alcohol, uses drugs and tobacco and harms his body. He is amoral and a real sleaze ball and then he preaches to you to be good. Would you listen? Or would you think he is a hypocrite?
What if he says he believes in the ten commandments by the way was wrote by the finger of god on stone.
But he murders, lies, commits adultry and abuses his parents, he is a greedy man who is a money lover and robs from the poor.
[One was about materialism] Would you believe that he really does believe the ten commandments? Yes actions speak louder than words. People can say anything, it is their actions that count.

Kindness, mercy, compassion and love can melt even the hardest hearts. The love God can show is beyond anything we could affect on our own. When He works through a person, His divine love can touch another in a powerful way. It's like the person being "used" by God.....who has given their lives for God's use.......is a conduit through which God can reach others. And He does....often.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
It depends, some people will hate you for being a Christian by virtue of your beliefs. Others will see the good in you and you serve as a good example so that they may one day get saved themselves!

God has planted the desire to know him in our souls. For some of us, that desire is covered over with all sorts of things--pride, vanity, and so forth. But many can tell when they have come across something "otherworldly." They may call it other names and find what they believe are reasonable ways to explain such things, but many of us--deep within--can sense when we are in the presence of something whose source is outside of time and space. You don't have to believe in God to see him. You have to believe in him to acknowledge that what you are seeing is, indeed, him.

God reveals himself through others, just like he reveals himself through nature. Not everyone sees, but many of those who are searching will see.
Hoping the best for you...

It takes time, and growth, the closer you get to God, Jesus, you tend to act and feel more like him, Jesus Christ is in your heart.
