Some people have been "dead" and revived (like coma or massive heart attack) and Jesus told the story of the rich man in hell and lazarus in heaven. I've read the promises it's and truly believe in them and they were fulfilled and i've heard so many stories that it's impossible that they were all lies

People believe in heaven and hell because they are taught to, usually starting in childhood. It is pretty much a part of the culture we live in in the West. Some Oriental cultures hold simular views, I believe.
The Bible? Well, it was written by around 40 dead guys, but they were not dead at the time they wrote it. Most Christians believe a person's soul either goes to heaven or hell when they die, to receive their final reward. NOT all do, however. Some groups like the 7th Day adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses believe the soul is the person themself and this is mortal (not immortal), so at death it just goes to the grave to await a future resurrection. The word for hell in the Old Testament is 'sheol', which is also translated 'grave' or 'pit'. God told Adam after he sinned "Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return". He never said there was a part of him that would go some place else (heaven or hell) when he died. The only place in the Bible I know of where it says such a thing is in Luke chapter 16, where Jesus tells the story of the rich man and Lazarus. This seems to conflict with scriptures like Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, 10 and Psalm 146:4, where we are told the dead are NOT conscious! The JWs and others tell us this is just a parable.
Many say the Bible does NOT contridict itself, but I personally believe that it does. Like you say, it was written by men and men are fallible, yet we are told it is the "infallible Word of God".
Why do I believe it in the first place? I believe the parts that I understand and that make sense. When people start telling me about the Trinity and the eternal Hellfire, I do not understand that. I do not understand the "blood atonement" either. So I have trouble accepting those things. I know my saying this may upset some people, so I apologize for that. I am not saying this to be rude or unpleasant.

The concept of an afterlife is an ancient one. People believed in heaven-like places and hell-like places before the Bible was ever written. The vast majority of people since ancient times have had a hard time grasping that life could actually end at death. This is why most religions had a heavens and underworlds. Christianity is no exception to this.

I believe the bible because I have been studying it in depth for ten years. That is the longest I have ever paid serious attention to any one thing in my entire life! I have seen it proven true all around me, and within me. Before I walked into a bible teaching church, before I opened that book, I did not know that I could trust it as God's word. I do now. That is why I believe in heaven or hell as the destination after death; because the bible says it.

Dear David, I would like to explain by asking you a few questions.
Do you consider yourself to be a good person?
Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; Have you ever hated someone? God sees hate as Murder. Have you ever put anytinbg above God? this is called Idolatry. Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. So heres whats at stake, If there is no God or Judgement day or hell, you wont even know its good news, you will simply be out of existence. But if Hell and Judge, ent day and God are real, and you have broken those commandments, the BIble says you wil end up losing your soul in Hell for an eternity. your playing russian roullet with a loaded Gun. there are 8 million Near Death Experiences in the U.S. these people werent in comas, they were clinically dead, beyond Hope. The doctors of these patients had stopped trying to bring them back. This is scientific fact. Thesee people came from different backgrounds and different parts og the country, the one thing that all these people had in Common is that they all experienced Heaven and hell. and there are Billions throught the world who have experienced thge same thing and returned to tell about it. I dont know How we can deny the testimony of billions of people, who were dead and experienced themselves the reality of the afterlife. So If Heaven and Hell are real, it wont matter how much we may choose to refuse to belive, Hell will still exist and your stil going to face this God guilty and end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be Forgiven. He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name. The BIble says if you will Repent (turn from sin) and trust in jesus as Lord and savior, God will forgive you and grant you everlasting life.
God Bless

The Bible speaks truth.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of years before Christopher Columbus, the Bible said the earth was round. Isaiah 40:22.
Thousands of years before it was realized, the Bible said the earth hangs on nothing. Job 26:7.
Somebody told these writers the truth!
The 'guy' you refer to, I assume is Jesus.
He made sense.
I urge you not to go on hearsay.
Make a study of it.
Then draw your conclusions.

They should also believe that the earth is the center of the universe and the sky is the shell of the universe and all the stars are affixed to it. Hallelujah Praise the lord, pass the beer nuts.
