Either at your local shelter or humane society. You could also try looking on Petfinfders.
Good luck. Lots of dogs need loving homes.

Your local rescue group will usually take a donation of around $50-$100 for a dog. If you wait, you might be able to find a puppy.

Your local animal shelter. You will find a mixed breed at a reasonable price and also save it from a sad life of neglect. Good luck hope you find one.

At a shelter.
If they are in someone's backyard, $100 wouldn't pay for their initial worming and vaccinations at 4-6 weeks much less pay for the good care for the mother while pregnant and nursing.
If all you afford is $100 - can you afford to feed the dog, pay for annaul vaccinations and emergency medical care that can hit $500 -1000 real fast?

My town isn't large, but even we have a "Tell-N-Sell". It's a classified ad paper; placing an ad is free to the advertiser and costs only 79 cents to the consumer. Also, most vets will allow you to place a postcard on their bulletin board for free, stating the nature of your "want". Give them a try. Good luck!
