There's someone in my family circle who basically eats meat and potatoes, occasionally a green bean or two if she's feeling daring, so I see where you're coming from. I'm assuming you're a female, and we're allowed to be picky eaters, so it's really unlikely that your date will get critical about what you eat unless he feels that he's spent a lot of money for something that gets thrown away. When on a restaurant date, you might want to order an appetizer as your main course and firmly decline any other dishes, telling your date you want to save some room for dessert. Nachos are good; they usually come on a big plate, and guys will usually dig in and eat a bunch of them too. You don't necessarily have to order the dessert later; you can say you've had enough. If the guy comments about food you haven't eaten, have the waitperson wrap it up for you. You can always give it to someone who needs it or throw it away later.
You don't have to get used to noodles. Most of them are made of white flour and not really healthy anyhow. If you want to get used to new foods, you'll probably find it easier to do so in private. Pick out healthy foods that deserve a place in your diet and try a little portion when you're by yourself, with no one to pressure you or comment on your responses. Food is a sensitive issue, and not everyone is sensitive about it, so your experimentation will most likely work better in private.

The next few times you eat out, go to a buffet & try a couple of different dishes - you can get just a small spoonful & try it to see if you might like it. Go to different type buffets such as Chinese, Indian, Seafood, Soul Cooking, etc. That way you can try things new & still find something for dinner that you know you will like.

well for starters you sound like you're bulimic
and communication helps - tell your date you'd love to go out for a bit, but give them a heads up you have a sensitive stomach. i'm sure there is SOMETHING on the menu that won't make you gag no matter where you go.
or just order a salad and again, communication, let your date know you have a sensitive stomach, you don't want to puke on him before the nights over,i'm sure he'll undersrand.
but go see a doctor to find out why you puke so much, sounds like bulimia to me

Be daring. On my wife and I recently went on our first year anniversary and dined at a real posh restaurant. We ate escargot for the very first time, and trust me the idea was not pleasing. I decided what the heck and ate one, without thinking of it as being a snail. It was served in a garlic butter sauce and tasted like a mushroom. So long as you don't sit there dwelling on the thought of snails crawling on the ground as you're eating it, it's not bad at all.
I think the biggest problem is mind-over-matter. If you THINK it's going to be gross then it will be.

Get a international girlfriend. My girlfriend is part Filipino, when I met her I found myself eating all kinds of food I had never even seen before. And the best part is when we go to Asian restaurants she's able to help me out with my choices.

Know that if you don't like something, you can immediatley spit it out and never consume it again. That helps me get through trying new foods, and using it I've developed new favorite foods.

sounds like you need a lifestyle change-do it slowly-one step at a time
just go for one bite only on a new type of food every day
savour the flavour before you chew
if you don't like the flavour -don't chew-no spew-whew!

smell it than take a little bite. it always works for me. i am so picky that now i tell my people first so they don't get offended if i do not like it, because if i don't i will not hide it just be nice and say something like thank you but it is not for me you enjoy.
