For many years, I have leaned heavily toward small dogs. My oldest (14) is a Lhaso Apso. My newest (<2) is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Although my heart is devoted to my old dog, the Spaniel wins this challenge. He is SMART, obedient, friendly, loving, and nothing pleases him more than to please me. I've never seen such a smart and loving doggie. And I've had a few. No wonder everyone is going crazy over them!

Either a Shetland Sheep Dog or a Border Collie. Because of their intelligence to solve problems, stamina and agility.

I seem to like all types of dog breeds. The most preffered dog breed is maybe or perhaps the German Shepherd and the Manchester Terrier. I have these dogs and they are the best.

I would choose a small rat terrier. They're so friendly and they can fit right in your arms. Plus, it would hunt any rodents/other vermin and it wouldn't shed a ton of hair all over the island we're stranded on :)

Border collie - hands down winner. They are amazingly loyal, and great fun. Generally keep in good health, and can reach 18 years old. Has to be my weapon of choice lol.

my favorite type of dog is one that loves me....although i own currently 5pit bulls and so id have to say that would be my preferred choice of dog they are very love-able and snugly regardless of the untrue rumors that are spread about them

Portuguese Waterdog. Big, loveable, love to be in the water, loyal and they're HYPO-ALLERGENIC!!!! Look it up...it's an AWESOME dog!

my favorite dog is a basenji,there will never be another.i read horrible stories about them befor i got him,but the truth is he could not be more wonderful.
