In England he will be, but when he crosses the pond and comes to America he will be exposed as just another ordinary fighter that was over hyped. The proof is this, remember "The Prince" or "Naz" which so many English fans loved to cheer. How about "The Hit mans" last fight where he looked awful both these fighters were considered "Great" by England standards, but in America they are so much less.
Calzaghe was suppose to be "Great" but in his last fight he looked anything but, against a nobody to the people in America. Can you imagine Joe fighting the way he did against a legitimate opponent, and don't give me "he beat Lacey" Jeff Lacey is the most one dimensional fighter out there today other than him who has Joe fought that a fight fan in America will know.
Naz down, Ricky Down, Calazaghe, on his way down now they're hailing Khan as the next "Great" boxer from England. There have even been some reporters over there calling for a Hatton vs Khan fight already. They think this kid can beat Ricky. The English fans have been so starved for a "Great" fighter they are grasping at straws.

Who is Amir Khan? I'm 56 years old and this keeps happening to me, sometimes I can read an entire newspaper and not have a clue as to who most of the people are who have had stories written about them. Should I just go to bed and stay there?

I hope so ....He certainly has the speed and power to do so . He is articulate and has a brian so thats going in his favour at least

As long as he doesnt end up like NAZ he will be fine

Ps Thankyou Barberra for giving that arrogant little hypocrite a lesson that night when you made Naz ea humble pie ..It was the best money i ever spent on pay per view and Naz was never the same boxer again ..hahaha

Yeah he has def got the potential to be one of the best boxers in the world!!! I have followed him from the very beginning and he has not lost a fight yet!! I do get the feeling tho that he can give a good fight but i dont think he will cope with someone who is at his physical level and prob wont be able to take punches and bodyshots well as he hasn't given anybody the opportunity yet. ONLY TIME WILL TELL

He has lots of potential but will end up as a middleweight when he fills out. I see him as a future world champion in some variation but he needs to go to America at some point in the next couple of years.

He could go all the way..He has not been tested yet: his last fight was meant to be one, but Amir did him in the first. He has fast hands and fast feet and good reflexes, but a better opponent will know how to get to him. He has potential..that is obvious, but when he eventually steps up in class, then we will see how really good he is. I wish him well.

No doubt he is a good boxer but I will reserve my judgement until he steps up in class.

Now Steven Smith, he is real class and he will be the next big thing without a shadow of doubt.

the bloke is a joke, he still aint been hit yet, i wonder what will happen when frank warren stops paying people to fall over, he is another naz, and will get a big shock when he stops fighting chumps, and goes abroad.

It depends on the weight division he ends up in, if he settles at light welter (which is were the money is at moment) then he will struggle due to the sheer quality in that division.
