The notion of predestination removes any matter of chioce and therefore legitimizes all evil.

a philosophical question that has no clear answer -- as black and white. yes, there exists predestination -- if not we would all win the lottery ticket -- 10 million or more -- but it is destined to some people. this having been said -- you also make your own destiny i.e. you go out of your house, search for a job,girl-friend, travel, meet people, go to university, shop, etc.etc.
to stay put -- giving the excuse "whatever will happen happens (qu'en sera sera -- remember the song) is simply not true. I rest my case - I worked my mind too hard to explain. hope it helps.

Here is a good link- Read it- I will tell you right now that I agree with what John White says.....But this topic can be a BIG debate and it becomes fruitless controversary in the end.....because those who are saved in Christ- are saved- and that is what is most important. So I usually never touch this subject- even though I do believe in what the BIBLE says on this- and what is more biblically based is YES we are pre ordained- just as the bible teaches- Read this article- Please do, its long but its worth it if you are REALLY wondering about this question. Its a debate on Free will vs Election. I also like a lot of Charles Spurgeon's sermons and writings- You can check him out too online. Have a good day! ( Also see Ephesians 1-2, and check out every scripture provided in this article)

I find it ridiculous that anyone who would believe in the Bible would believe in such a thing. If predestination is not true and I go to hell, it's my fault. If Predestination IS true and I go to hell, the blame is all on God, and if that's the case I don't want any part of him anyway.

The true church is predestined for eternity with God, not any one individual.

Incongruent with free-will.

God can not have plans for humanity, while humans have free will.

There is no middle ground.
