Well, I do. I'm a former Atheist but when I had a car accident, one of the reasons why I converted to Christianity was because Christians were loving and smart.

I'm a Christian, and I've found that none can be better salve for the soul than other Christians, and I've also found that none can disappoint me and break my heart like Christians.

I know full well why we're exhorted so much in the Gospels and Epistles to forgive each other and give grace. The day that each of us does not need forgiveness and mercy is the day that we die. Until then, we need to receive mercy and forgiveness, and we need to give plenty of it too.

And, of course, we know that if we don't forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us. I don't know about you, but I need that option open of being forgiven at all times!

I can tell this question is going to get a load of bullshit from some dumb *** athiests. Depends who the person is. Stop using generalities like Christians and athiests etc. Notice how I said "some" instead of just dumb *** athiests? Personally I'm a good Christian for the most part, I abide the rules sometimes, I curse more than neccessary sometimes, and the list goes on. I know a lot of Christians who are full of **** and preach love and forgiveness when they do not follow out there own practice. I have a bunch of friends of other religions including athiests that are easier to love than some Christians. So to answer your question I think some Christians are that way.

You know, it's funny, actually. The best catholics (we have no other christians here) i've met are the ones that do not follow word-by-word, or non-practitioners. Yes, the walls of the temple are made of rotting ****, but it looks good in the plans, and they've born there, so, why leave? And yet thei are magnificient friends of mine

I know some Christians who are very loving and I know some who use religion to set themselves above everyone else. They are just people, and not made special to the rest of us by their beliefs.

Some of them are.

One of the reasons I abandoned christianity is because far more christians are cruel, intollerant, arrogant, and hypocritical.
