i`m about to get a new kitty soon and i really need a name for it it`ll be 8 weeks old and female i was thinking about Snickers but i dont know about it i really need some ideas about a name that would suit her, thank you so much for your answers

thanks so far for the great names but for some of you that are asking what she will look like and everything i wont know all i know is that its a baby and female i`m getting her from one of my moms friends so i wont know until i get her.

I got 2 female cats, and their names are Sasha and Tasha. :)

I have had several cats - most starting as kittens - I have always called them kitten or kitty until their personality shows through - some in a day or two, others as much as a week - Shammie was Persian and Siamese and had really long hair. She looked like a shammy cloth. Bubbles who lived to be 26, also had a lot of hair and looked big, but she seemed to float when she walked and actually felt like a feather when you picked her up. My current kitten, all black and about 2 months old is Imp - both for the time of year and she is into everything. There has been Dusty who liked to hang out under the beds and helped with the dust bunnies, Baby who refused to grow up, Pandora an all black cat with attitude, and Egypt a Siamese that thought she was royalty. Give your little one a few days and you'll find yourself calling her something appropriate. We all name our children, but they always end up with a nickname based on who they are when they get here. I have two cats, Pyewacket (name of a cat brought up at a witch trial) and Oreo. I have also had : Otis, Speedy, Grey Ghost and Tally.
Snickers sounds nice though. Once you get your new kitty, you have to go check out the Cats in Sinks web site...... I know it's not on the topic you're asking about, but it's cute!

If you like Snickers, you might also think about Twix. My youngest cat is named KitKat and everyone loves her name. She was supposed to be named Maverick, but we didn't realize she was a girl, and my husband thought it was too masculine. Our other girl cats are named Abi, Natasha and McLaren.
A friend of mine has hamsters and they are all named after foods. Bleu Cheese, Tangerine, FlapJacks, Sushemi, etc.
I'm sure you will be inspired when you meet your kitty.

I would look up some names on the web. I listed a couple of web sites below that you can check out. I think it should be something interesting since the name'll probably stick with her for life. Some names that come off the top of my head include Princess, Cookie, Tabby and Adora.

Maybe you should wait until you have her. That way, you'll be able to pick something that suits her. If she's prissy - you might name her Prissy. If she's energetic - you might name her Turbo. Etc.
Or - perhaps her name could have something to do with her color. I had a friend with a grey cat and she named it "Matter" - which I thought was great.
You'll figure it out - and meanwhile - you can just call her "Kitty" - and that should work temporarily.

You did not say what color she is....But I do like the name Snickers. I had cats named Sneakers, Spooky, Beau, Buffy, Bobbie (bobtail), KC (kitty cat). You can also do a search online for cat names. Good luck and lots of love to your new baby.

I always think it is a good idea to watch the kitten for a few days to pick up on their personality. One kitten I had I named Heddi because she hid for three days, on I named Scrapper because he loved to wrestle with the other kittens and on I named Digger because he would dig and dig in his litter until he found the right spot, I hate the usual names like Midnight, Snowball, Tiger & fluffy.

Snickers isn't a bad name for a cat.
I happen to like the name.
But what is more important is do YOU like the name, because if you do like it that is the name you should name the cat.
