How many people believe the following statements?

1.Jesus was Caucasian
2.Mary Magdalene was a hooker
3.December 25th, 2006 is the actual date that Jesus was born

I was just curious, because when I was growing up these statements were given as if they were fact. Most artist renditions in churches protray Christ as being very white. The other two questions have also been proven to be most likely false. I’m not trying to get people angry, but I think a lot of people need to face the fact that the bible is not entirely accurate. The bible was written by men and men make mistake. The bible has also been edited/changed several times in the past.

1 Jesus was middle eastern and also Jewish so therefore he couldn't have been Caucasian.

2 Marry Magdalene was not a hooker. She was a passionate women who cared for others and was "saintly"

3 December 25th, 2006 is not the actual date that Jesus was born because that would be this year and according to the Bible he was born over 2000 years ago.

I do not believe in any one of those three statements.

2.There is nothing in the bible that says Mary Magdalene was a prostitute.
3. No I don't think 25 December 2006 was when Jesus was born. He was born about 2000 years ago and the exact date is unknown.

1. Jesus was Jew, from Nazareth - born in the line of David.(Mark 10:47; Matthew chapter 1) His followers are known as Christians. (Acts 11:26)

2. Mary Magdalene was a woman out of whom Jesus expelled seven demons, reason enough for her to put faith in him as the Messiah and for her to back up such faith with outstanding works of devotion and service. She is first mentioned in the account of Jesus’ second year of preaching, when he and his apostles were “journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God.” Together with Joanna the wife of Herod’s man in charge, Susanna, and other women, Mary Magdalene continued ministering to the needs of Jesus and his apostles out of her own belongings.—Luke 8:1-3.

3. December 25th was not Jesus' birthday. From Matthew chapters 26 and 27, we understand that Jesus died at the time of the Jewish Passover, which commenced April 1, 33 C.E. Moreover, Luke 3:21-23 informs us that Jesus was about 30 years of age when he commenced his ministry. Since his earthly ministry lasted three and a half years, he was about 33 1/2 years old at the time of his death. Christ would have been a full 34 years old six months later, which would thus be about October 1. If we count back to see when Jesus was born, we reach, not December 25 or January 6, but about October 1 of the year 2 B.C.E.

Jesus was of middle east lineage. It follows that he would have a darker, swarthy complexion

It is only ever established that Mary Magdalene was a woman of sin.... it doesn't say what she did

December 25th, 2006 is the next date of the Christmas day celebration
Jesus' actual birth date is also never established in an acurate fashion.

Jesus was a Palestinian Jew.

Mary Magdalene was a wealthy woman who supported Jesus in her ministry. She was not a prostitute. That's a Hollywood Creation. The Catholic Church doesn't build basilicas and assign feast days for prostitutes.

Acording to Luke, I think... Gabriel announced the coming of Jesus to Mary in the 6th Hebrew month. "Elul" 9 months later would have been "Iyar." Which would put Jesus in July.

The real Hebrew Calendar is 13 months. It's Lunar. So it varies. Those months are just a guess.

Stop winding up the Christians. If you have a valid point, state it.
1) Does it matter what colour he was? It's his teachings that are more important.
2) What poof do you have that none of your ancestors indulged in what you accuse Mary Magdalene of?
3) December 25th, 200[6] has not arrived yet. Di(khead.
It can be a day in the middle of summer.
It's a day to celebrate the birth of the Son of God.

Jesus was Jewish, Mary magdalene might have been a prostitute, I don't know for sure but Jesus never had any kind of relationship with her, and Jesus was supposely conceived in December according to the things that were going on at the time he was born, I'm not sure but I doubt he was born on December 25

I only believe for sure that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. The way the Bible describes Jesus, it's not likely He was Caucasian, but it that doesn't matter to me. I love Him just the same. As far as the date, I'm not sure. Calenders have been changed over time, and I'm not going to go research that. As long as we celebrate His birth that's all that matters.
