Nutritionally the same, but I'll take brown sugar over white any day. But I use Scottish rolled oats, with 2/3 water and 1/3 milk, a little dribble of flavored oil (like garlic oil, walnut oil, even good olive oil), a few dashes of salt, occasionally some diced celery or crushed walnuts. A hearty savory breakfast.

Brown sugar and white sugar make a good combination. then add something extra if you want.

Oatmeal with brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla! Makes the breakfast oatmeal taste just like oatmeal cookies and my family loves it!

I cook it with a little vanilla in the water and add Dark brown sugar and a little cinnamon when finished!
