It's a big world so you get a variety of people. The ones that annoy me are the ones that come to the joke section - a section which funnily enough, involves telling jokes therefore there is rarely going to be a question involved; and yet they write: "Where's the question?", as if they're really clever and they've spotted a big flaw in the system! They're the reason I have a drink problem!

Serious answer: The written word misses many of the basic forms we use to communicate:
Facial expression, tone of voice, body language, without them we can easily misunderstand each other.
I find it helpful when they use the little face :) signs ,and sometimes people qualify with words(joke) lol etc.though I don't know all these myself.
One of the funniest things I saw on here was a "Jack Russell" Avatar asking why it wasn't O.K. to hunt foxes-nobody seemed to get it and he got hounded off for his question !
Still,is easy to miss, maybe stick to the "Joke" section!!

let's face it some people have no sense of humour, i sent in a joke the other day which I thought was really hilarious, and the feedback was unreal, one person actually tried to diagnose the joke as a problem. (will I live to be eighty) was the joke, check it out.

Sometimes it's hard with written text to judge whether someone is being funny or serious. People read things and jump to the wrong conclusion. It's all in their perspective.

its not the many miserable answers that count.....its the few good ones you get. dont stop offending! one of the greatest (my opinion) cartoonists of all times had more hate mail than fan mail but he got away with it for years

good question, its like people forget they are on a jokes board or something. If they want to be so damn serious then go to a more serious board.

Because some people have a funny sense of humor, while others have a stupid sense of off-humor.

lots of miserable folks out there. they have to spread their "cheer" somehow, and the internet is definitely a good way for them to do it under cover
