Flabbergasted. I am Dutch, the first time I heard / read it I immediately knew what it meant. I got a mental picture of someone falling to the ground, chocked. "flabberen" in Dutch means something like flopping. I can't help giggling every time I hear it.
(which is not too often .. :)

Pelvis, because it sounds like Elvis

he-he

I was laughing at my gynecological exam when my doctor told me I have a very beautiful pelvis and I heard "Elvis", so I raised my head and said: Excuse me, but English is my second language.
So ever since it has been a really interesting word for me, but I am sure that will change soon too.
