The older you get, the more people you know and the more experiences you have, you start to see the connections, the cause and effect, the patterns... and it's easy to believe that everything does indeed happen for a reason. Does it really, though? How many things can you look back on that were of absolutely no consequence? If some things happen for a reason, then surely all things must, and if some things are inconsequential, then everything must Just Happen.

Everything happens because of a decision. The wrong decisions will hurt you and sometimes others around you, but it also teaches a lesson. Just like hurting your finger. The reason you hurt it is because you touched something you knew was hot. So in the future you won't do it again. That's how you gain experience.

So yes, everything does happen for a reason.

Yep, though we'll probably never know what the reasons are. God sees the big picture, we only see the here and now, so what may seem meaningless to us possibly makes a difference down the road.

Yes,and the reason is that we have created it directly, agreed to be part of it,or created it by default or neglect. But,always we agree to experience it for our own reasons. There are no accidents in practical or cosmic terms. The goal is to learn to make your own reality.

Most things have a cause and effect. Just none of the causes happen to be a god, that's all.

No, over 3,000 people died on 9/11/ 2001. I will never accept that it was "their time to go". That is absurd. there is where free will comes in. The free will of the men who were flying the planes.
