Their is really no database for this. Go to the airport and ask around or try doing an Airman caertification search on the FAA website breaking it down to your city.

Private Pilots are not available for hire. They are forbidden from operating aircraft for hire or for any commercial purpose.

Check around your local airport for a FAR Part 35 operator or an FBO who has aircraft and commercial pilots available for charter. In the Spokane area, Spokane Airways at Geiger Field is one of the ones who come to mind, but there are several smaller independent operators flying out of Spokane's Felts Field and Coeur d'Alene airport in Idaho.

I would try placing an ad in your local paper or Internet based job site like monster.com another good place to put an ad is in trade-a-plane which is an aviation publication. You mention cj if your looking for a Cessna CJ type rated pilot you may inquire to Flight Safety as they train many pilots for this rating and may have some referral service.

Many here are keying in on your reference to "private pilot" I feel you mean to say one whom flys private aircraft. The technicality that they are pointing out is that for a pilot to fly for hire he must be commercially rated.

You won't. What you can do is check the field a few days (A week would be better.) before you need a pilot. There are always guys/gals hanging around that will fly just to get the time in their book. (Maybe a few bucks.) The problem is you get what you pay for. Most of the pilots with certs are already on retainer, like a lawyer. They won't risk the cash cow for a quick milk run. The good thing is, if you find a good PT pilot, you can try to get him/her on a small retainer with ADVANCE notice. You ain't gonna get them out of bed with small dough. Good luck.

As most of the posters have said you cannot hire a Private Pilot, you will need to look for someone with additional ratings in order to hire them. The search that you can use is Landings.

Once you are on their website you can search the database for pilots.

Private pilts are prohibited from being paid to fly.

The kind of pilot you need to look for is someone working on their atp, but already has a commercial license.

It shouldnt be hard, I know there is a university with an aviation program right nearby. It shouldnt matter who you talk to, everybody there will spread the word.

Private pilots cannot be hired. Try looking for a Commercial pilot, especially one that has thier instrument rating.

Hello:
Call the Airport Manager and ask your question. They are very familiar with airport businesses that offer charter services. Or you can ask the manager for a referral: his recommendation of a specific commercial pilot.
