Sometimes barbers dab something wet in the hairline after cutting hair. Maybe that is rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to prevent cuts resulting from edge ups?

What ever they are putting on it wouldn't be to prevent cuts. Nothing is going to do that except a barber with a steadier hand!

no it doesn't prevent cuts. It's usually alcohol to sooth the skin from shaving irritation.

Prevent cuts ? No, maybe prevent infection but not cuts.

no itll damage your hair. trust me. itll remove all dirt and oil and DRY out your hair terrible. its like putting acne cream or rubbing alcohol on a zit. this help?
