God only hates sin, but God Loves the sinner, otherwise He would have never sent Jesus to earth to die for us.

Listen to me once and for all-God doesn't hate anyone. God is a perfect entity-God is not capable of hate, or jealousy, or revenge-seeking or any of the other things some of these so-called religions talk about. We all have to play the card we're dealt at birth, and some people are born gay. I've loved Elton since the 70s, he has a fantastic God given talent, and he's used it well. Sure he's strayed in the past with drugs and alcohol, but he cleaned himself up and began helping others through his aids foundation. So enjoy his music, fellow Elton fan! Ignore all the rude comments, because we know talent when we see it! :)

Some of the most creative and famous people in the world have been/are homosexual. It is silly to not admire their work just because of their sexual orientation. The work is still great. Why shouldn't it be admired?
Many people let their prejudices guide their life. It must be sad to live like that. Imagine loving a song only to discover that the artist is homosexual so you must stop listening to it. Silly, huh?
What if we discovered that Abraham Lincoln was homosexual? Would his achievements suddenly become unworthy of admiration? Of course not. But some people would let it affect the way they see him.
There are many homophobic pinheads in the world. Don't let them influence you. There is nothing wrong with admiring Elton John's music. He is a GREAT musician.

No,there's nothing wrong with you. It's nice that a person your age appreciates good music. Elton John is one of the best song writers of all times, and the fact that he's gay is irrelevant. Next time your family makes fun of him, tell them that he probably didn't choose to be a homosexual; more likely,he was born that way. If you want my opinion,God must love someone alot to bless them with so much talent.

Sounds like you've got more sense than the people in your family. Unless you're planning to have sex with Elton John, I can't see where this matters one way or the other. His songs have nothing to do with homosexuality.
Leonardo DaVinci was probably gay. Does that take anything away from his paintings? Alexander the Great was gay. Does that mean he wasn't a great general and leader? Some of the people in your family need to grow up.

Elton John is good... I don't know why it's bad to be an Elton John fan here. He was one of (if not the) first older pop artists I liked. My dad used to have the Goodbye Yellowbrick Road cd but I accidentally pushed it into the CD player too hard and it got stuck in there.

Homosexuality is a violation of the law of chastity and is thus a serious sin. It is contrary to the purposes of human sexuality. Romans (especially verses 1:24-32) speaks on homosexuality. Verse 26 ends "Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. " Homosexuality distorts loving relationships and prevents people from receiving the blessings that can be found in family life. However, this does not mean you should shun those who are struggling with same gender attraction. Try to help them rather. As for Elton John, if you just like his music, it shouldnt matter, as long as there in nothing perverse or unrightious in his songs. Hopes this helps man

Elton John rocks! So what if he's gay? I love to hear him play the piano too, and really don't care what he does behind closed doors in his own home. The Gods don't hate gays.

Good for you. It shouldn't matter to the greater world what his sexuality is; all that matters is his talent and his ability to entertain us. It sounds like you're growing up in a rather narrow-minded family and religion. Personally, I don't believe in god, but isn't the idea that he makes us in his own image? So homosexuality is part of the experience of being human--not for everyone, but for a significant minority. The scientific evidence is piling up that it's not a choice, it is biologically determined. I hope you get the chance to meet some gay people. Two of my best friends are a gay male couple and they're a lot like me and my husband in many ways. And some gay couples stay together and are far more devoted and loving than straight couples. Perhaps god put gay people here to teach us to be tolerant? Because in a climate of tolerance homosexuals can live as happily (or unhappily) as anyone else.

God hates sin, and homosexuality is an abomination to God.
Elton John is a talented singer as was the lead singer for Queen, who was also a homosexual.
Love the sinner, hate the sin.
