A cold sore is Herpes Simplex I. It is not usually contagious, you can't catch it from someone else in most cases. It should clear up by itself in 7 - 10 days. In the early stages if the person you contact has never had this virus they could catch it. Most of us are BORN with this virus in our systems (blame it on your parents, it's their fault!!)
I have never heard of this being transferred by oral sex.
Genital Herpes is Simplex III and is contagious even if there are no visible signs of outbreak.
Herpes itself is just a term that means skin lesion. There are over 80 kinds of Herpes each with its own symptoms and cures or treatments. Some are cured by changing bar soaps or bath tissues. Others by time, HS III has no cure but can be treated to relieve symptoms.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about 5 yrs ago, when I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. Coldsores might desire to dry out to heal - so first of all leave it on my own!!! - i'm going through each and every now and back and that they constantly look to heal swifter if I purely leave properly on my own - if i positioned creams on them it purely looks to maintain it intense high quality and moist and takes for ever to heal.. i understand there is the previous different halves tale of putting organic physique spray on them to dry them out. sturdy luck :-)

yes it absolutly can! before having any physical contact take a good look, if he/she has cold sores don't let him/her go there...you will likely pay a very painful lifelong price.

not from what i understand nor can genital herpes go to the mouth although who really knows? there is herpes A,B, and C or something to that nature each infecting different areas of the body
