I hate the way animals are farmed and slaughtered - and things are so bad in parts of Europe. Pigs are even boiled awake and alive in Hungary - because it is cheaper than stunning them first. They are intelligent and can see what is happening around them. Don't buy hugarian sausages or salami!
I do eat organic meat - I tried the vegitarian thing but kept passing out! So I do eat a little meat and I eat fish.

I live in Canada and we have a lot of cooking channels as well. We also have the food channel (I get hungry every time I watch it lol). Everything they make on the cooking shows take time and patience and I don't think a lot of people have that so that can't really be a cause. But I've noticed that when I go to the states, you guys have so many fast food joints. And it's not just one, it's like 4 ten feet apart. And McDonalds for example, the burgers down there are bigger than the ones here and are so much cheaper. But at the end of the day, I guess it's self control and you caring about your body. And apparently pizza is a vegetable there now? The hell.

Note that this is not filmed in Britain! Britain has extremely strict guidelines about how the animals are reared and slaughtered. Farms are regularly checked by departments from the Ministry of Agriculture e.g DEFRA and like ours by Freedom Foods. There are also trained people overseeing slaughtering in Abbatoirs now to make sure they meet these guidelines. That is why I would always buy British meat. This is cruel and does happen in other countries. If someone was doing this in Britain they would eventually be caught and prosecuted.

What is your point? Obesity is not caused by eating meat. It can be caused by medical problems or by eating too much and not exercising . So you can be a fat vegetarian. Why is PETA showing these tapes to Yahoo Answers instead of legislators or the SPCA? Could it be that the information is grossly exaggerated? Do carrots feel pain when uprooted from the ground? Are potatoes boiled alive? All thought provoking ideas, don't you think?

There's nothing about right sized portions of meat that contribute obesity. They just have to be the right meats.

And parents don't let kids run around and play outside and climb trees anymore. I ate well while growing up, but kickball and sports, and pickup games of basketball, and riding my bike...I'm not obese.

Don't blame meat.

I eat meat,
I buy veggies that are low calorie.
Mostly green veggies.
I eat bread and sweets only on special occasions, Then in small amounts.
Sweets, starchy foods like potatoes, rice ,
pasta, bread and cakes are loaded with carbs,
And you get most of your weight from carbs.
Meats have 0 carbs.

Er, Nick, I notice that this is the same video clip as in your other question. Quite what it has to do with obesity, I don't know. meat doesn't make people fat, bad carbs & inactivity do, but thanks for trying.
