cruise ship pools are overcrowded places where you have to fight for every inch of space you get. i avoided the pools when i went on a cruise.

Carnival built 8 identical sister ships at one time in their history; Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation, Fascination, Imagination, Elation, Inspiration, & Paradise. These were probably all built in the early to mid 1990s - I say that because it's before the put balconies on their ships. On these ships, only the Penthouse Suites have balconies.

I've got the "fleet brochure" in front of me and according to that, there are three pools on the Sensation, with one of them labled as "Children's Pool". That one's on the Promenade Deck. The other pools (which also allow children) are on the Lido Deck and the Verandah Deck. There are no pools that are "adults only".

Honestly, don't obsess about the pools - they're small and you'll only be in them for a short while - much less than you think!

Enjoy your cruise and bon voyage!
