An 11-year-old boy has been arrested in New Brunswick and charged with selling cocaine and heroin.

New Brunswick police Sgt. Richard Rowe said the boy and two teens were arrested Tuesday night carrying 234 bags of heroin and 111 bags of cocaine with an estimated street value of $3,450.

Officials said the 11-year-old was released to the care of his relatives and the teenagers were put in juvenile detention. None of their names were released because they were minors.

"We have seen an increase in juveniles that are involved with the selling of drugs, whether you attribute it to gangs or just juveniles not being supervised properly," Ralph Cretella, assistant prosecutor in Middlesex County's juvenile unit, told The Star-Ledger of Newark for Friday's newspapers

It sounds like these kids are from broken homes. When children come from broken homes it is more likely that they will be smokeing and drinking and do drugs and even selling drugs on the streets when they are older. Hopefully what has happened wakes up all the stupid parents out there and they make sure they know who thier kids are with and what they are doing at all times.

This summer in Longview, Texas, we had a group of 4 or 5 kids ages 14 to 17, break into a 'parade of homes' house that was occupied. The owner shot and killed one, injured another. The dead one was 'a nice kid who liked to hang out with his friends at shogun restaurant'...OK, now tell me where a 15-year old got the money to eat at Shogun? I'm 50 and I have a job and I can't afford it. Didn't his momma wonder where the money came from? And shouldn't someone have wondered why these kids were running around after midnight, even if it was after school was out for the summer? And these parents blamed the HOUSEHOLDER for the kid getting shot. If he'd been where he belonged, he'd be safe alive today. I think that's the whole key. Parents are NOT watching their kids! If I'd been outside, even, at that age, I wouldn't have dared to come IN! I'd have been killed, but by my mom, and not nearly as permanently!

People who are not ready to be parents to their children, should've used protection or birth control from the beginning. Ofcoarse, many don't take it seriously because of the pleasure of having sex. They don't worry about the responsibilities of having children. Which concludes that they weren't ever meant to be parents because they don't know or want to deal with the consequences. Most parents just don't discipline they're children the right way from lack of love or they're too lazy to deal with anything. There's lots of help in parenting. They just don't bother to get the help. Children need as much help now than back in the days. Definately. I'm a parent and I'm definately getting enough help before it's too late.

Well, odds are these kids are from broken homes, given the circumstances of the cases.

It's a good reminder how serious we should all take marriage and how great a burden we bear for our children's well-being.

"where r the parents?"

My guess? Momma was in a hotel/motel with her john or at the corner trying to get her john, and dad hasn't ever been heard from.
