Why don't you try asking at the Hungarian Embassy in the UK?
They will probably have the best answer for you...
Magyar is a difficult language...I'm afraid you're not going to find a teacher on every corner!

And the best way to learn a language is to go where the natives are...In other words, try spending six months in Buda ...or Pest. Your girlfriend would probably be delighted, and you will pick the language up much easier if you are "immersed" in its cultural environment!
