I really hate it when people misquote Suras or put them up without context. You know that they never even look them up, because if they did, they would see that the verse does not mean what they say it means.

some muslims may post verses from the quran which favour what they are saying but not all muslims. Many muslims identify it is not just about using it to support your argument its about understanding and practicing what the quran actually says. Just like there are some Christians who read the bible, understand it and practice it. In my opinion the people in Iraq, Palestine etc who say they are going on jihad when they blow themselves or other people up or kill other people, are absolutely wrong. They may have been completely brainwashed because Islam is about peace and submission to God and what they do isn't what jihad is.

So what leads you to determine that those individuals who have posted quaranic verses about violent jihad do not understand islam, while your justified violence is the correct understanding?

I am sure bin-laden believes he is fighting for the opressed. Do you support binladen?

probably because of this one

Now let's start into the evidence to back up our claims that it would be a huge boost for Muslim women if they were actually considered to be worth half as much as a man. We'll start by going back to the 24th surah: Qur'an 24:34
"Force not your slave-girls to whoredom (prostitution) if they desire chastity, that you may seek enjoyment of this life. [And here's the freedom-to-pimp card:] But if anyone forces them, then after such compulsion, Allah is oft-forgiving."
